Welcome to the doll sanctuary! I created this safe-haven for unwanted and damaged Strawberry Shortcake dolls a few years ago. The sanctuary is still open, so please feel free to send in your unwanted and damaged dolls to us.

All rescued dolls will be cleaned, given new clothes, a loving home in my collection and a special place in my heart. If you'd like to help, you could:
* Send your damaged or unwanted dolls to the sanctuary
* Donate doll clothing and accessories
* Make a contribution via PayPal (every little bit helps)

DONATIONS WE'VE RECEIVED (most recent first)
December 2007
Melanie surprised me by sending over some doll clothing, accessories and a beautifully handwritten letter.

April 2005
Dena from Arizona generously donated the following dolls to the sanctuary: Blueberry Muffin, Apricot, Raspberry Tart and Sour Grapes. Each doll had some clothing & each were in various stages of disrepair.

5th December 2004
I received a package from my friend Rebecca from the UK. It contained a nude 80's Lime Chiffon doll with a pen mark on her forehead & a nude 80's SSC doll with scratches on her face.

25th October 2004
Rhonda has a heart of gold, she cared enough for this mini to send it to the doll sanctuary. It arrived in very poor condition, a lot of surface damage & paint loss. I restored her with acrylics my husband got me on 4th December 2004.

27 September 2004I met Rhonda from Wisconsin in 2004 through Strawberryland Town Square. Rhonda generously donated an Apricot hat, berrywear shoes, 2 sweet sleeper bags & a mini.

The apricot hat she donated had a
large stain on it, so I concealed the stain with a self-made floral
patch. Cindy had sent me a naked Party Pleaser Orange Blossom doll a
while ago & she has been living in the doll sanctuary without proper
clothing for quite some time. Now she has a totally unique ensemble! I
combined the one-of-a-kind Apricot hat with a Berry Quaint dress &
tights (both purchased from Angela), matching blue knock-off
shoes & a pretty pink butterfly companion (both donated by Cindy).

The two
sweet sleeper bags Rhonda donated needed serious "tender loving care". I repaired them and they are now good as new. We use them to keep some of our dolls warm at night.

10 September 2004
I purchased some doll clothing from Angela using money donated to the doll sanctuary:
1) Lime Chiffon dress: $0.50
2) 2 x tights, faded: $0.75 each
3) Berry Quaint hat & dress: $0.75
4) Berry Sunny shirt & pants: $0.75
5) Berry Baby Lemon Meringue's dress: $1
* Angela generously threw in an Apple Dumpling hat.

7th September 2004
I met Cindy from Colorado, in October 2002 through eBay!. We have since grown very close & have adopted each other as mother & daughter. She is also adopted grandma to my son Amir! I love her very, very much! She has very generously given me dozens of dolls to add to my collection and she has also sent me quite a number of sad looking dolls, which she felt I could help. She was the one who really inspired me to set up this home in the first place! She also donated $25 to the doll sanctuary on 7th September 2004! THANK YOU CINDY!
